Lodge Meetings

As a Mason you will need to commit to six Mondays meetings a year, we hold formal Lodge Meetings from 6pm to 8pm, followed by a supper known as the Festive Board that is usually over by 9:30pm - all Lodge members, especially the Lodge Officers, are expected to attend these meetings, emergencies excepted. Any member may bring guests who are members of other lodges. Occasionally, the suppers may include masons’ non-Masonic friends and families.

Lodge of Instruction

On two Fridays of the months when we have formal meetings, we hold “Lodge of Instruction” (LOI) at which members hone their skills and demonstrate their learning progress made in memorising the Masonic ceremonies and the roles of the seven Officers of the Lodge. During LOI, significant aspects of the ceremonies are not only practised and rehearsed, but are also explained. LOI generally runs from 7:30pm until 9pm at latest.  Before LOI, we may have held an informal supper, at a local restaurant from 6pm onwards, truncated on Committee evenings, and intended to help new and prospective members to integrate into the lodge.
